Warm: a freshly baked little moment

Enjoy a freshly baked cheese tart warm, or use an oven to warm a refrigerated or frozen tart again. Our Canadian cheese tart packaging recommends oven reheating to bring back that freshly baked taste. It does not give a single oven temperature or baking time, so follow the current directions supplied with your purchase or ask your bakery for its recommendation.

  1. Remove the tart from its box and any packaging that is not oven-safe.
  2. Place the tart on an oven-safe tray or dish and warm it in the oven following your bakery’s reheating directions.
  3. Check that the filling is comfortably warm before enjoying your tart.

Chilled: smooth and creamy

Place your cheese tart in the refrigerator for a smooth texture reminiscent of New York-style cheesecake. The rich filling becomes a different little treat when cold, while the pastry stays part of the experience. Enjoy it chilled straight from the refrigerator, and refrigerate any tarts you are not eating right away.

Frozen: a cheese-ice-cream treat

For another way to enjoy the same tart, place it in the freezer. Our packaging describes the frozen filling as silky, like cheese ice cream. Take the tart out of the freezer 10–15 minutes before eating it, as recommended on the box, to enjoy that frozen dessert texture with its pastry base.

  1. Place the cheese tart in the freezer.
  2. Take it out 10–15 minutes before you plan to enjoy it.
  3. Enjoy the filling’s silky, ice-cream-like texture with the pastry base.
